are bringing the ‘Fête de la Musique’ to our EP Garden!!

Stéphane of Selatan Transfer explains ‘Fête de la musique’
as follows;
“Regarding the backgroung of the French
Music Festival each on the 21st June of the Year (1st day of
summer), this is something that the left wing French government
launched in the 80s and it was meant to be the "Fête de la
musique".
It is a day where you can play music spontaneously in
the streets, in any public places for any kind of style and
skills, including amateurs. There is a lot of jam sessions
organized and the big cities pay for free concerts of famous
artists.
The mood is very relaxed and friendly. The concept, very
successful in France, has even been replicated in a few other
European countries.
This is what our band Selatan Transfer will attempt to create in
Eastern Promise on the 21st of June evening ...."

Last week’s 1 Year of EP Jazz Celebrations was a great
night full of high quality Jazz by famous artists like
Idang Rashidi (piano), expats like Markus Mark, new
jazz talent and of course our own house band!! We
promise to make the second year even better!! |

Last Saturday our garden was even more orange than
usual and there was a fantastic football atmosphere
(of course helped by the Dutch thrashing of France).
