Our Jazz Nights
are attracting more and more famous
Indonesian and Expat jazz musicians each
week as well as new young talent, which
often results in fantastic jam sessions.
Last week Jazz guitar legend Ireng Maulana
joined the stage for a memorable jam with
Markus from the USA on bass in photo with
Nial Djuliarso on piano.

Nial (see photo) is back this Wednesday for
a special performance with our home band! At
age 26 he has already performed on
prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall;
the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Hague;
the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C; Alice
Tully Hall; the Montreux Jazz Festival in
Switzerland, and the Sarasota Jazz Festival,
Florida. In May 2006 he played with vocalist
Ernestine Anderson for a week at Dizzy's
club with the Juilliard Jazz Orchestra under
the leadership of Victor Goines.

Bali rock band Navicula!!
One of Bali’s
best, Navicula have released 5 albums of
‘psychedelic rock grunge’ a mix of Hendrix and
Pearl Jam. Get ready to rock as these boys make
their debut in our music garden for a very special
gig!! Starts at 9pm!!

Expat rockers
'Songs for the Deaf'
will
play a variety of songs from the seventies right
through to the naughties, featuring covers of such
famous names as: , The Pretenders, Steppenwolf,
Brian Adams, Robbie Williams, Free, ZZ Top, The
Stones, AC/DC, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and many
more. Special guest singer for the night is former
Miskins vocalist Ernest Weel!!

EP last week

The Roving Insight Gathering saw some 150 people occupy
our garden last Tuesday, including the Spanish
Ambassador to Indonesia Mr. Jose Luis (left) and
1st time goal scorer for BugilsFC Luis (right).

There was also an Equil drinking competition for
girls, which was won by our own Cindy Caroline. A
big thanks to the Roving Committee and chairman
Bill for coming to EP! |
